Although Lake Minnetonka is our pride and joy, Lake Harriet is definitely one of our favorite Minnesota lakes. Summer is now half way over! And we wanted to share with you all that Lake Harriet has to offer starting with the Bandshell. The Bandshell has FREE concerts and movies almost every night all summer long! Besides concerts and movies there is a public boat launch where you can launch your own watercraft or rent kayaks, canoes, bikes, boats, and (our personal favorite) paddle boards. If you get hungry you can grab some food at the Bread & Pickle Restaurant located right next to the Bandshell or bring your own food and picnic at one of the many picnic areas located around the lake! As if Lake Harriet didn’t have enough activities, they also have a beach for swimming and a pier for fishing. Lastly, and possibly the most important, they have a REAL bathroom facility. That means no need to use a tiny port-a-potty! Lake Harriet is truly a gem and a lake you can easily spend all day at without having to own a boat or run out of activities.
