Situated on one of the largest lakes in Minnesota, Lake Minnetonka, Shorewood is surrounded by Excelsior, Tonka Bay, Chanhassen and Victoria about 25 miles west of the Twin Cities. Primarily a rural community, Shorewood also includes Christmas Lake.
